WHAT IS CRYO-ESTHETICS TREATMENT?

Cryo-esthetics is a procedure that uses extreme cold to destroy tissue. The process is called cryo-necrosis, tissue destruction by freezing.
The Cryo Solutions device is an in-office, non-invasive dark spot corrector and skin tag removal treatment. The device uses cryotechnology to gently freeze away unwanted age spots, sun spots, and skin tags from the face, hands, and body.

SKIN TAG OR SPOT TREATMENT EXPLAINED

During treatment, the spot or skin tag is quickly frozen for 5-8 seconds using a precise flow of N2O ( nitrous oxide). N2O offers a mild freezing temperature of -89°C and can be applied with high precision. Compared to liquid nitrogen treatments usually used in dermatologist offices, it results in a softer, shallower, more comfortable freeze, leaving the surrounding skin intact.

Results can be seen in as little as one treatment with little to no downtime and minimal discomfort. With the fastest healing time and the lowest risk of pigmentary changes or scarring, it is the most elegant solution for cosmetic lesion removal, especially on the face.

ARE CRYO TREATMENTS PAINFUL?

- No, Patients rarely feel pain or discomfort during the treatment. There may be some mild stinging of the skin during the treatment of larger lesions, but this normally goes away as soon as the treatment is over.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Every client is different, and every lesion will respond to cryotherapy differently. For small lesions, it is not uncommon for patients to only need 1 treatment for destruction of the lesion. In other cases of larger lesions 2-3 treatments may be required.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?

There is no downtime after these procedures. Depending on the area we are treating we may recommend applying a topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin to the site for up to 72 hours and covering the area with a small Band-Aid. This is to avoid the risk of infection.

HOW IS CRYO TREATMENT BETTER THAN OTHER TREATMENTS?

Cryo-esthetics procedure requires no anesthesia and has less scarring than other techniques of skin lesion removal with minimal post-op care. Treatments are quick allowing patients to get back to their daily lives immediately.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

ACROCHORDA or SKIN TAGS: Generally small, stalk-like lesions without thickening at the base. Indication is skin colored or brown with slightly wrinkled surfaces.
ACTINIC KERATOSIS - SUN SPOTS: Poorly circumscribed, pink to red, slightly scaly pigmentation spots usually found on sun-exposed areas such as face, head, neck, and back of the hands.
SOLA LENTIGO - LIVER or AGE SPOTS: Sharply circumscribed, non-scaling pigmentation spots with uniform brown color often found on sun-exposed areas on the face and back of the hands.
